POWER OUT IN SOME K-STATE BUILDINGS
MANHATTAN -- Power is out in some campus buildings at Kansas State University, and is expected to remain out until at least noon in affected buildings, said Tom Rawson, vice president for administration and finance.
The power loss started as a Westar outage from one of the substations that feeds campus. Power was restored for a brief time, and caused damage in K-State's old "Frankenstein Room" in the Power Plant.
Rawson said power is expected to be restored to affected campus buildings as early as noon, but it could be late afternoon if more problems are encountered.
