K-STATE DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION TO BE PART OF AVIATION EVENTS IN WICHITA AND KANSAS CITY
SALINA -- Students and staff from Kansas State University at Salina will represent K-State's department of aviation at upcoming events in Wichita and in Kansas City, Mo.
The events are the Wichita Flight Festival, Aug. 22-24, at Col. James Jabara Airport in Wichita, and the Kansas City Aviation Expo, Aug. 23-24, at Wheeler Downtown Airport in Kansas City, Mo.
Along with K-State students and staff, the university's Cessna 172 with G1000 glass cockpit avionics and Beechcraft Bonanza will be on display at the Wichita festival. K-State's Cessna 172 with G1000 glass cockpit avionics also will be on display at the Kansas City expo along with the university's Beechcraft Baron.
"Events like the Wichita Flight Festival and the Kansas City Aviation Expo present great opportunities to put our terrific aviation program on display," said Nathan Gorrell, aviation admissions representative for K-State at Salina. "It is always fun to exhibit our program. We have a lot to be proud of, and it is a pleasure to share our program with people attending the expo and the festival."
