K-STATE AT SALINA AVIATION DAY AT TAHLEQUAH, OKLA., AIRPORT MAY 3

SALINA -- Kansas State University at Salina, in cooperation with the Tahlequah Municipal Airport, will host a K-State at Salina Aviation Day at the airport in Tahlequah, Okla., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3.

K-State at Salina aviation students and faculty will be flying aircraft from the K-State fleet to Tahlequah and will speak with local aviators and prospective students about the K-State at Salina aviation program. The public is invited to drop by the airport to see some of the K-State aviation fleet and visit with the K-Staters.

K-State at Salina is at the Salina Municipal Airport in Salina, Kan. The airport is home to three instrument runways, including one that is 12,300 feet long. All flight training is conducted at the school's modern Aviation Center, which has four simulators: two single engine simulators, one twin engine with visuals simulator, and a turboprop with visual displays simulator.

The K-State at Salina aviation fleet includes Cessna 172s, Beech Bonanza F33s, Beech Baron BE 58s, a Beech King Air C90, a Cessna CitationJet, a Schweizer 300 CBi Helicopter and an ASK 21 Glider.
