K-STATE'S ORDER OF OMEGA GREEK HONOR SOCIETY GAINS NEW MEMBERS

MANHATTAN -- An honor society whose members are dedicated to upholding leadership, excellence in academics and strong relations within the Greek community has gained nearly 40 new members at Kansas State University.

Members of K-State's Order of Omega, a Greek honor society, promote Greek strength, integrity, leadership and service to the university and the Manhattan community. Faculty advisers to the honorary are Ashley Renz, graduate student in business administration, Manhattan, and Tim Lindemuth, editor of the K-State Alumni Association's K-Stater magazine.

New members and their Greek affiliation, along with the honorary's officers for 2008-2009, include:

Ross Bartley, junior in microbiology, Abilene, Phi Gamma Delta; Melissa Slack, senior in advertising, Andover, Alpha Chi Omega, is a returning member and the 2008-2009 Order of Omega secretary; Ashley Pruett, junior in nutrition and exercise science, Atchison, Delta Delta Delta; Sarah Breuer, junior in animal sciences and industry, Basehor, Sigma Kappa; Erica Freeman, sophomore in early childhood education, Bonner Springs, Sigma Kappa; Melissa Taylor, junior in nutritional sciences, Chanute, Delta Delta Delta; Lacy Jo Altwegg, junior in agricultural communications and journalism, Chapman, Gamma Phi Beta; Randi King, junior in pre-veterinary medicine, Derby, Kappa Alpha Theta.
