Junior leaders: Chimes selects members for 2013-2014

MANHATTAN -- Chimes, Kansas State University's junior class honorary, has selected members for the 2013-2014 school year.

The honorary promotes scholarship, leadership and service. Members are chosen each spring semester. Selection criteria include at least a 3.0 grade average and demonstrated service and leadership to their fellow students at the university.

Faculty advisers to Chimes are Tara Coleman, associate professor at K-State Libraries, and Kiley Moody, coordinator of new student services.

The new members of Chimes, all part of the 2013-2014 junior class at Kansas State University, their major and hometown include:

Jake Sankey, finance, Andale; Parker Wedel, management, Buhler; Kelsey Martin, accounting and finance, Colwich; Beth Reichenberger political science, De Soto.

From Greater Kansas City: Erica Carr, junior in elementary education, Kansas City, Mo.; Molly DeBusk, family studies and human services, Kristen Fischer, biochemistry, Lauren Fischer, nutrition and health, Abigail Kaplan, communication sciences and disorders, and Caroline Toler, family studies and human services, all from Leawood; Abby Reynolds, communication sciences and disorders, Lenexa; Sarah McKittrick, marketing, Mission Hills; Melissa Gaddis, architecture, and Suhani Gandhi finance and economics, both from Olathe; Katie Bolin, kinesiology, Matt Castinado, in kinesiology, Chandler Schoen, public health and nutrition, Kensey Smith, kinesiology, and Kelsey Wolf, mass communications, all from Overland Park; and McNeil Dolliver, management, Prairie Village.
