POLICE INVESTIGATING INCIDENT ON K-STATE CAMPUS

MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University police are investigating an incident of aggravated robbery which was reported to the Kansas State University police department last night.

On Tuesday, April 27, at about 10:40 p.m. two students reported being approached by three black males wearing dark clothing and bandannas. They were armed with handguns. The suspects took the victim's wallet and cell phone.

No one was injured. The incident occurred in a parking lot behind student housing. The suspects were last seen running away from campus to Platt Street. Police were called and searched the area and are investigating the crime. All student housing units were notified last night.

"We take student safety seriously," said Pat Bosco, vice president and dean of student life. "Campus police are actively investigating the case.

"K-State offers the Wildcat Walk service to accompany students walking after dark on campus. Campus housing facilities are secure and the residence halls are locked and require entry through the front door after 9 p.m."
