K-STATE THEATER PRESENTS SHAKESPEARE'S COMEDY 'MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING'
MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University Theater will present seven performances of the Shakespeare comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" in Nichols Theatre.
Performance dates are April 19-21 and April 25-28 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and children, $13 for military and $15 for the public.
The play revolves around soon-to-be married lovers, Claudio and Hero, who conspire with Don Pedro to make a love match between confirmed-bachelor Benedick and the feisty Beatrice. Meanwhile, the evil Don John plots to foil the wedding plans by using trickery to convince Claudio that Hero has been unfaithful. Dogberry, the bumbling village constable, sets out to prove the whole affair is merely much ado about nothing.
"This humorous play is a celebration of life, love and what it means to be human," said director Charlotte MacFarland, associate professor of theater at K-State.
To order tickets, call or visit the McCain Auditorium box office, 785-532-6428, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets also can be purchased online at http://www.k-state.edu/mccain and click on the heading, "KSU Theatre."
