The adage may be true that blood is thicker than water, but family

when something hampers communication. Anthony P. Jurich, professor

is a noted expert in family relationships. He specializes in many
different aspects of personal relationships including marriage
and family therapy, adolescents, family crisis, sexuality, moral
development, drugs, premarital relationships, parenthood, sex
education and therapy, alternative family forms, foster parenting
and rural family issues.
Jurich received his bachelor's degree from Fordham University and went on to receive his master's degree and doctorate from Pennsylvania State University. He has been at K-State since 1972.
During his career at K-State Jurich was named Adviser of the Year by the University Activities Board for his work with FONE Crisis Center; awarded national honorary membership in Omicron Nu, human ecology honor society; received the 1987 Osborne Award (for Teacher of the Year) by the National Council on Family Relations; and received the 1976 Outstanding Teacher Award from K-State.
