2014 K-State Salina Achievements

• In the Top 10: The umanned aerial systems program at Kansas State University Salina named is one of the nation's best.

• Topflight: The K-State Salina Flight Team earns the prestigious Loening Trophy, given to the most outstanding all-around aviation program in the country.

• Two K-State Salina students win top honors with their designs in the engineering technology category of the Engineering Education Service Center's poster contest.

Drew Smith, associate professor of aviation, is continuing his service on a national aviation education board.

• K-State Salina's Bill Gross, professor of aviation, has again earned his Master Certificated Flight Instructor accreditation, making him one of only 36 worldwide to receive the credential six times. Gross scored his first accreditation in 2003 and has successfully renewed it every two years since then.
