The Sound of Christmas starring Elisabeth Von Trapp with the Carolian Brass

Celebrate the joyful sounds of the season.

4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1

The granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired "The Sound of Music," performs Bach, Handel and show-stopping Broadway tunes accompanied by one of North American's finest brass ensembles. The show also includes a medley from "The Sound of Music" and festive holiday favorites. A local children's choir will accompany Von Trapp on "Edelweiss" and "My Favorite Things."

With a voice that critics have called "hauntingly clear" (New York Times), Von Trapp has enthralled audiences from European cathedrals to Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center. Bring the entire family to a joyful celebration that will delight with wintertime and holiday cheer.

"Before the concert is over, she will have the audience gasping with the sheer beauty of her voice." —Boston Globe
