HISTORY

In 1904 an auditorium was erected that seated approximately 2,000, but it was totally destroyed by fire in 1965. The present auditorium was completed in 1970. In 1975, upon retirement of Dr. James A. McCain, Governor Robert Bennett officially dedicated the auditorium in honor of Dr. McCain who served this university as President for 25 years.
