The Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AMI) works with businesses of all sizes, from entrepreneur-owned organizations to Fortune 500 companies. AMI provides a team of experts as well as student interns to advise in engineering, product design, manufacturing and business.
History
Industries served by the Advanced Manufacturing Institute include manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, consumer products, agriculture, food, chemicals, plastics, bioprocessing, equipment and machinery. AMI also assists in cooperative research between companies and K-State faculty members and operates a regional office for the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center (MAMTC), which provides technical assistance to regional manufacturing companies.
