The purpose of the Society is to foster, encourage, and promote the study and conservation of mammals in the Central Plains region, which includes the states of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Society News:
The 2006 Annual Meeting of the Society will be hosted by University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma, on 13-15 October. Gregory Wilson will serve as our local host. Click here to learn more about the upcoming meeting and access the meeting program and abstracts.

Presenters must submit their presentation as an email attachment to Gregory Wilson no later than 6 October 2006.

Application forms for the 2006 Student Research Award in Mammalogy are available (application due date is 22 September 2006).
