REGISTRATION IS FREE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!

Through the generosity of our Student Governing Association, K-State Alumni, and LGBT community we are able to offer the conference FREE to all who register.  Please register on-line before April 11, 2012 before 5 PM.  The first one hundred registrants will receive a Leadership Goody Bag with great goodies donated to our participants by K-State departments, organizations, and area businesses!

Conference Overview

The Second Annual LGBT Leadership Conference theme for 2012 is Expanding Identities. Through a network of workshops, academic presentations, and guest speakers, we will explore how gender and sexuality are inherently entwined with concepts of race, ethnicity, culture, spirituality, and politics. The Sexuality and Gender Workshops/Presentations are scheduled for Friday, April 13 , 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Welcome and Guest Speaker at 4 p.m. and on Saturday, April, 14, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. there will be additional workshops, Keynote from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Guest Speakers from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m..   All events will be held at the Kansas State University School of Leadership Studies. Several speakers covering diverse topics on Identity and Sexuality and Gender will present. Evening events TBA.

Check-In

Registration check-in for the workshop will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on the 1st floor of the K-State School of Leadership Studies. Upon your arrival, please stop by the registration table to pick up your nametag and conference materials.

 Parking Permits

If you have not already requested a parking permit, then please let us know if you need one. If you purchased a parking permit, an email regarding parking instructions will be sent to you prior to the conference.

 If you are staying at the Holiday Inn at the Campus,1641 Anderson Avenue,Manhattan, the conference is within walking distance of the hotel and a parking permit is not necessary.
