REGISTRATION IS FREE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!

Through the generosity of our Student Governing Association, K-State Alumni and LGBT community, and the DOW Chemical Multicultural Resource Center we are able to offer the conference FREE to all who register.  Please register on-line before Oct 16, 2013 before 5 PM.  Registration prior to October 10 will receive a Leadership Goody Bag with great goodies donated to our participants by K-State departments, organizations, and area businesses!

Conference Overview

The Third Annual LGBT Leadership Conference theme for 2013 is Be the Change. Through a network of workshops, academic presentations, and guest speakers, we will explore how gender and sexuality are inherently entwined with concepts of race, ethnicity, culture, spirituality, and politics. The Sexuality and Gender Workshops/Presentations are scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Brian Gilley at 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. with free luncheon at the Beach Museum of Art on the K-State campus.   All sessions and speaking events will be held at the Kansas State University School of Leadership Studies. Several speakers covering diverse topics on intersections of social justice, identities, sexuality and gender will present. Evening events TBA.

Check-In

Registration check-in for the workshop will be held on Friday from 9:30 am to 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the 1st floor of the K-State School of Leadership Studies. Upon your arrival, please stop by the registration table to pick up your nametag and conference materials.  On-site registration is also available.

 Parking Permits

If you have not already requested a parking permit, then please let us know if you need one. If you purchased a parking permit, an email regarding parking instructions will be sent to you prior to the conference.

 If you are staying at the Holiday Inn at the Campus, 1641 Anderson Avenue,Manhattan, the conference is within walking distance of the hotel and a parking permit is not necessary.
