B. TERMINATION PURSUANT TO RENTAL AGREEMENT Some rental agreements contain language indicating that the agreement will be renewed for a like term or continue on a month-to-month basis following the termination date if written notice of termination is not given by a particular date. The following notice should be useful for such a purpose. The notice should comply with the terms stated in the lease and should be sent by certified mail, return receipt requested, or delivered with witnesses. The tenant should keep a copy of the notice.
NOTE: Generally all tenants in the same unit should take the same action. Since the tenants are commonly considered partners for the purpose of the lease, either all or none can terminate.
