K-State Volunteer Center of Manhattan
The K-State Volunteer Center of Manhattan promotes and coordinates campus-community volunteer activities as well as provides resources for students interested in community service. Annual events include the Community Service Week, Martin Luther King's Day of Service and National Volunteer Week.
Campus Community Partners
With initial financial support from SGA the K-State Volunteer Center officially began July of 2007. As an affiliate of the Points of Light
Foundation and National Volunteer Network the volunteer center is provided with resources and connections to other centers nationally to
help promote volunteering and engage more people effectively in community service.

Through the online database 1800volunteer.org volunteers and organizations in Manhattan that utilize volunteers are able to connect
more efficiently online. The K-State Volunteer Center of Manhattan provides training and support for organizations wanting to provide
their community service opportunities online enabling a central location for all of Manhattan to find volunteer opportunities. Need to
keep track of your service hours? 1-800volunteer also provides a feature allowing students and organizations to monitor their community
service hours online.
