Get HandsOn
The HandsOn Program focus on developing and supporting civic leadership and practices through HandsOn Projects, HandsOn Leaders, and the HandsOn Corps. Through this program, the HandsOn Kansas State works with community service agencies to develop on-going and special group projects in order to meet critical needs in the Flint Hills Area.
HandsOn Projects
This signature initiative offers at least one team orientated volunteer opportunity each month. Volunteers have the flexibility of signing up for projects as their schedules and interests allow. Projects can be developed and initiated by students, community members or nonprofit, governmental or educational organizations. To register a HandsOn Project, complete the Project Request Form and submit it to the HandsOn Kansas State.
HandsOn Leaders
HandsOn Projects are managed by HandsOn Leaders who provide the leadership to make the project meaningful and enjoyable for volunteers and the organizations they serve. In other words – THEY OWN THE PROJECT! HandsOn Leaders serve as a liaison for the HandsOn Kansas State of Manhattan with volunteers, community organizations and corporate representatives. They are trained volunteers that ensure the organized service project fulfills the mission of the HandsOn Kansas State, provides meaningful volunteer service and impacts an identified community need.
HandsOn Corps
HandsOn Corps provides an opportunity for networking and support for those interested in leadership through service. Community members, civic leaders, community service partners, youth, families interested, involved or want to be involved in service to their community are invited to participate in HandsOn Corps activities.
