Student Group Opportunities

Interested in getting involved in a student organization? The School of Leadership Studies provides several student groups that support the mission of the School and the programs.

  •  HandsOn Leaders
  •  Nonprofit Leadership Student Association (NLSA)
  •  School of Leadership Studies Ambassadors (SLSA)

Additional Student Organizations

In addition to NLSA and SLSA, the Leadership Studies building is also home to both senior honor societies on campus. Mortar Board Senior Honor Society and Blue Key Senior Honor Society both fundraised to have offices in the building and host weekly meetings and programs.

The Mortar Board National Senior College Honor Society was founded in 1918 on the values of scholarship, leadership, and service. The XIX Chapter of Mortar Board has been a respected part of the K-State community since 1928. It is comprised of 36 members from diverse and dynamic backgrounds who represent some of the finest leadership on campus.

Blue Key Honor Society is a premier honor society that recognizes college students at senior institutions of higher education for balanced and all-around excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. Blue Key Honor Society bases its eligibility for membership on all-around leadership in student life, high scholastic achievement, service to others, citizenship, and an adherence to principles of faith.
