AmeriCorps at K-State
AmeriCorps at K-State includes Careers for the Common Good Program with Kansas Campus Compact. Through an AmeriCorps*State project grant, funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, Kansas State University students have the opportunity to work in career fields such as teacher education, health services and nonprofit career fields while receiving an Education Award for the time they put into working toward the public good.
AmeriCorps at K-State has two goals:
- Engaging college students in an opportunity to serve as a team member in their community.
- Promoting the mutual benefit of service in Kansas communities. Thus, we are here to engage college students in service to education, healthcare, and non-profit service careers to retain skilled professionals in high-need Kansas communities.
