Summer 1989 Host Site Descriptions
San Jose and Golfito, Costa Rica
The student was sent to determine the feasibility of establishing an International Community Service team project in Costa Rica for 1990, by becoming familiar with the political, social, and economic climate in general and the needs of the community.

Susan Scott co-founded the School of Leadership Studies after holding the lead position in the Dean of Student Life office and serving as a counselor in the University Counseling Service. Scott has taught several courses and currently teaches a course with K-State head football coach Ron Prince dealing with timely leadership topics. Additionally, she was published in the area of credibility and co-authored a book entitled, “Leadership Lessons from Bill Snyder.” Dr. Scott is also engaged in the ongoing work of “continuous improvement” and is leading the effort for a 12 million dollar capital campaign.
