Alcohol and Other Drug Education

The Alcohol and Drug Education (AODE) program at Kansas State University, a department of Lafene Health Center, coordinates the alcohol and other drug prevention and intervention for K-State students to support academic success and life goals. Programs and services provided by AODE incorporate current, empirically supported approaches to effectively promote student health and wellness.

Key efforts focus on education and surveillance along with confidential, non-judgmental screening and interventions for both individual students and student groups. In accordance with AODE program’s purpose, the AODE Staff collaborate with students, faculty, administrators, staff, parents, alumni, and local community members to develop and implement strong, effective policies and programs that encourage a safe and healthy campus environment for students.
