H1N1 flu Vaccination Information for K-State students

Lafene Health Center has recently received a shipment of 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine and has scheduled the following vaccination clinic.

Monday, November 23, 2009
K-State Union, Forum Hall
11:00 AM - 2:30 PM or until vaccine supply is depleted
    Who is eligible:
  • K-State students, ages 16-24 years
  • K-State students, 25-64 years, who have underlying health conditions such as: asthma, heart disease (not high blood pressure), diabetes, kidney and liver disorders, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and immunosuppression.
    The vaccine is NOT available to the following persons through Lafene Health Center:
  1. pregnant women (Consult your OB provider or go to the Riley County Health Department H1N1 vaccine clinics for vaccine.)
  2. faculty/staff
  3. student spouses
  4. children of students

There will be a $12 administration fee charged at the time of the vaccine clinic. Bring a check or credit card.

    What to bring to the clinic:
  1. current Wildcat card REQUIRED
  2. health insurance card
  3. check or credit card to pay the administration fee
  4. print, complete and bring with you, the vaccine consent form.
    In order to reduce the time spent waiting for the vaccination:
  • wear a short sleeved shirt or top to enable vaccine administration in upper arm.
  • bring the completed vaccine consent form with you.

Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get the vaccine before your next class.

Riley County Health Department continues to offer the H1N1 vaccine to "persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years." Check their website for availability and clinic times.
