Student Health Privilege Fee
Lafene Health Center is a professionally accredited health facility designed to provide cost effective, physician directed healthcare and offer health information to the students at Kansas State University. As a student at K-State, a student health fee is included in your tuition each semester.
This Student Health Privilege Fee entitles you to:
- Access all the services available at the Health Center from the time of fee payment on campus until midnight the day before the next semester begins.
- See a healthcare provider free of charge.
- Students needing other services or procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, physical therapy treatments, medications or medical supplies will be charged a fee.
More detailed information about fees, health insurance, and payment policies may be found at the Business Office. The Kansas Board of Regents offers health insurance for students at a reduced cost through the Statewide Student Insurance Program.
A Student Spouse Fee is available to cover all services at Lafene Health Center EXCEPT services offered through Counseling Services. The spouse fee is at the same rate as the student health privilege fee and may be paid in the Lafene Business Office.
Student Health Privilege fees are determined by the Student Governing Association.
