• Use a piece of poster board or cardboard as a base
• Cover the base with newspaper if desired
• Write each letter of the alphabet on pieces of colorful construction paper
• Also make several free spaces, spaces that ask players to move back 2, and back to start spaces
• Glue the pieces of construction paper onto the base in either a spiral or square pattern
• Mark the Start and End points on the game board
