Book Discussion Game

Materials Needed: Age appropriate children's literature Book Discussion Game board Pair of dice

Instructions:

Choose and read a book that you like. It would be fun if the book could be read together.
This game is meant to facilitate discussion of the book after reading.
Take turn rolling a die and moving around the game board the number of spaces rolled.
When a player lands on a space, they must follow the written instructions. If the space contains a letter of the alphabet, the player choose one of two actions:
- Use the letter to create a word describing the book
- Recall a name or word from the book that begins with that letter
To finish his or her turn, the player must explain why they have chose the word or name about or from the book.
If the player lands on a free space, they may choose the letter of the alphabet that they want to use to complete the above tasks.
If the player cannot comlete the tasks, he or she must return to their previous spot on the game board and roll again on the next turn.
The first player to reach the End is the winner!
