GEOG 201 - Honors Human Geography - Dr. Jeffrey S. Smith, Instructor

This course provides a geographical assessment of the way human activities shape space and place throughout the U.S. and the world. A wide variety of topics are presented and discussed that range from culture, economics, and politics to ethnicity, gender, and ecology. The class is ideal for integrating and synthesizing information from a wide variety of disciplinary perspectives.

Spatial aspects of human organization and behavior are examined through selected concepts in modern geography. The course is especially appropriate for students interested in the social and behavioral sciences.
