Most programs will require the following at a minimum:

  • Complete an application for admission to the Kansas State University Graduate School.
  • Submit two official transcripts of all college work completed to date.
  • Provide three letters of recommendation.
  • Send a brief resume and a goal statement (previous education and professional experience, plans after completing the degree). Please indicate the program to which you are applying.

With the exception of the Dietetics program, KSU does not require GRE scores for admission to Great Plains IDEA programs. Additional information on each program can be found by clicking on the program link at the left. Admission and reference forms can be obtained online, or by e-mailing the address above.

Students should have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA for Graduate School entrance. In some cases, probational admission will be granted to students with a cumulative GPA below 3.0, if the GPA in the last 60 hours is above 3.0. Student must also maintain a 3.0 GPA in their Graduate Program to avoid dismissal from the master's program. When all the materials are on file, the graduate committee will act on your request for admission to the FFP program and will contact you about their decision. You may receive one of four decisions. 1) full admission, 2) full admission, but you are on a waiting list, 3) conditional admission subject to resolving deficiencies, or 4) admission denied.
