Minutes - September 2, 2003

The meeting was called to order in 274 Rathbone Hall by President Mike Spottswood, KCØIWH at 7:00 P.M.

Mike, KCØIWH, Bill, KO4MH, Norm, NØJCC, David, KAØJPM and Mark Benfer, KCØQAS were present.

It was moved and seconded that club meetings be reduced to just the first Tuesday of the month. The motion passed.

Members present were treated to a brief program, presented by Professor Dillman, on a stealth mobile 2m antenna. Further details are not provided in these minutes, as the patent has not been granted yet. The antenna has been field tested for 1.5 years, and boasts favorable SWR readings.

There was discussion on the status of the club's somewhat questionable tower climbing belt. There was consensus that the belt should no longer be used for its intended purpose. We will look into a replacement.

There was a motion that club members appear for a Royal Purple group picture attired in togas. The motion died for lack of a second.

A motion was made and seconded to allocate up to $457 for a new 80m antenna. The motion passed.

Club members moseyed down the hall to Norm's office to research possible antennas. No decision was made.

The meeting ended at approximately 9:00 P.M., after a trigonometry review.

David Yoder, KAØJPM
secretary-treasurer
