Triangle is a Greek fraternity of engineers, architects and
scientists whose goal is to develop balanced men by providing
an environment which fosters personal growth and professional
success. Currently the organization has eight active members
and two new members and is in the process of looking for more
new members. Triangle was founded on April 15, 1907, at the
Illinois chapter. Since then it has expanded from solely civil
engineering to all engineering disciplines and finally to engi-
neers, architects and scientists. The chapter here at K-State
started September 7, 1964, and has undergone many changes
since then. Originally, it was much like a traditional fraternity.
Several years ago, however, after a drop in recruitment, the fra-
ternity decided to make some changes, including moving out of
its house, and is now in a period of growth.

Triangle tailgate party
Triangle partakes in many different social and profes-
sional activities during the course of the year. They regularly
have tailgating activities. This year they built a flagpole and
held a pancake feed before the home football games. They participate in homecoming and are paired with other fraternities
and sororities. Aside from their weekly meetings, they also play touch football and have regular poker and pool nights. For
professional activities, they have private resume critiques and offer Career Fair suggestions. They also have arranged tours,
including one of Honeywell Aeronautics Division offered by K-State Alumni employed there. In addition, they contribute to
philanthropic events in the community.
Triangle has many other benefits. It is a national fraternity,
and therefore has many networking opportunities with other
students and alumni. They also have looser social requirements,
allowing their members to put school as a priority. Due to the
lower membership numbers, there are also many openings for
leadership positions and great opportunities for underclass-
men who may not have had a chance to get involved yet.
So, if Triangle sounds like a fit for you, do not hesitate to
contact them. You can visit their web-site at www.ksu.edu/
triangle or contact them at kstate@triangle.org.
