John Hatfield, Assistant Director of Service Programs John's responsibilities include directing the Serve 2 Succeed Corps and other service programs of KsCC. John came to Kansas Campus Compact after serving twenty plus years with a service oriented non-profit (501c) organization where he was responsible for mentoring emerging leaders, fundraising over $100,000.00 per year, supervising staff, leading team building excursions in the mountains and providing strategic direction. He was commissioned to choose a team and create a national/international initiative that would significantly change the organization directing it from gestation to maturity. He has a multicultural background, having lived in Lusaka, Zambia developing students at The University of Zambia, as well as, working in several other African nations. Planning and implementing overseas service learning experiences for university students is a passion of John’s. While at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, John was an adjunct leadership instructor, involved in residence hall and Greek life programing and freshman retention strategies. A seminar presenter both in the Residence Hall Association and Greek life, as well as, a national and international speaker is a joy of John’s. He supports the inclusiveness, respect and value of every student. John believes in volunteering, having been a YMCA coach numerous times, delivered meals for Project Angel Heart for terminally ill HIV patients, assisted at the African Refugee and Relocation Center, announcing and participated in the Susan Komen race for the cure and been involved with the Salvation Army and City Mission food banks. He is a sports enthusiast and healthy lifestyle advocate, nationally certified in personal training, boot camp fitness, TRX, spinning and body building having worked for several health clubs and owns his own fitness business. John has two adult children in college - a daughter at The University of Northern Colorado and a son at The New York Art Conservatory. He also has a ten year old son whose ambition to be a U.S. Navy Seal brings a smile to John. He was raised in El Dorado, Kansas and received his BS degree from Kansas State University where he lived in the SAE fraternity house, was involved on campus and a K-State Yell Leader. His MA in College Student Development with a thesis in mentoring is from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition, John has a Human Resource Certification from Cornell University. |

Megan-Anne coordinates the website, newsletter, and other publicity tools for KsCC. Megan-Anne is a first year graduate student at Kansas State University pursuing a master's degree in mass communication and a graduate certificate in technical writing and professional communication. She currently serves K-State as a graduate teaching assistant in the mass communications department. Originally from Arizona, she graduated from Kansas State University in May 2010 with a B.S. in advertising and a minor in fine art. Megan-Anne competed in Division I track and field and cross country during her four undergraduate years as a wildcat.

Monica Strathman provides administrative support and fiscal management for Kansas Campus Compact as well as Kansas State University's School of Leadership Studies. She also coordinates the tutoring and community connections activities of K-State’s Community Service Program, providing local, state and national service opportunities for K-State students. |
