Visitor Information Konza Prairie is a biological research station with limited facilities for visitors. 

Nature trails -- 14 miles of hiking trails are open daily from dawn until dusk, weather and trail conditions permitting. The trails begin at the parking area near the main entrance. Pets are not permitted. Group tours of the Konza Prairie are available only by appointment.

Housing -- Accommodations are available for visiting researchers and college classes. Current housing rates vary from $12-$22 per person per night (single or multiple occupancy). Tent sites are available for $3 per person and include access to bathroom and shower facilities.

Permits and Reservations -- With the exception of the marked nature trails, access to all other areas of the station for research or educational uses is by written permit only. The station fee for researchers is $10 per person per day or 4.0% of direct costs for extramurally funded projects. Requests for housing, permits, tours, or use of meeting rooms should be made at least 30 days in advance.
