Education Tours
Public and school groups, as well as families and individuals, are invited to visit Konza Prairie through guided educational tours or recreational hiking on your own.
Guided Tours
Groups or individuals of all ages can enjoy a docent-guided discovery of the tallgrass prairie. Hike within the trail system or drive the ‘Bison Loop’ for a glimpse at the herd.
- Begin planning by reading our guided tour activity descriptions.
- Review our guidelines for student and group tours.
- Consult our advance reservation policy and education program fees.
Self-Guided Hikes
You may choose to hike our trails on your own. If you are a group of 10 or more, or are affiliated with an organization or institution, please register your visit in advance by calling the Education Program Office.
There is no fee for a self-guided hike, though voluntary user contributions are appreciated to help maintain Konza Prairie’s trail system.
Presenter’s Bureau
Would your organization like Konza Prairie to come to you? The Friends of Konza Prairie Presenter's Bureau provides educational presentations for organizations in Manhattan and the surrounding communities.
