Directions from Interstate 70:
I-70 to Exit #307 McDowell Creek Road. Travel 4½ miles North on McDowell Creek Road (County Road 901S). Watch for the Konza Prairie sign marking the entrance. Turn Right on Konza Prairie Lane into the main entrance.
Directions from Manhattan, Kansas:
From the intersection of Bluemont Avenue and Tuttle Creek Boulevard, head South on Tuttle Creek Boulevard. Stay right to enter the entrance ramp onto Highway 177. Immediately upon crossing the Kansas River bridge, turn Right onto McDowell Creek Road (County Road 901S). Travel 6 miles South on McDowell Creek Road. Watch for the Konza Prairie sign marking the entrance. Turn Left on Konza Prairie Lane into the main entrance.
Konza Prairie Scenic Overlook
Owned and maintained by Kansas Department of Transportation, the scenic overlook features a stone gazebo with informative signs. The overlook is located on Highway 177 approximately 5 miles South of Manhattan or 5 miles North of I-70, Exit #313.
