“First Annual KSU Marching Band Scholarship Golf Tournament”
The entire K-State Band family is very excited to work in harmony with the good folks at “Firekeeper” Golf Course in hosting our first “Marching Pride Scholars” fund drive! Abby Towner and the crew of the course have been phenomenal to work with and the course and facilities are simply breathtaking. This will be an event to remember with lots of fun, sunshine (I promise!), prizes, food, and memories for all. Of course there will be a definite “purple” slant to the event and we encourage all our Wildcat golf enthusiasts to get your teams together and come golf with us.
The scholarship drive is our attempt at providing scholarship dollars for upperclassmen to keep them in the band when finances and life challenges dictate they get another part-time job to stay in school. All proceeds go directly to the scholarship cause and will be distributed to junior and senior members of the band and Classy Cats. We are looking for “hole” and “contest” sponsors to be a part of this event so please pass the word and consider helping.
The Band, Classy Cats, and staff of the Marching Band will be there and we look forward to seeing the Wildcat faithful on the course!!
GO CATS! GO BAND!
