Scholarships are talent based. If you receive a string scholarship, your duties consist of playing in the orchestra, and helping with String Fling. You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in order to keep your scholarship. Any award made is automatically renewed for four years, as long as your duties are filled responsibly and your GPA is acceptable.
Your scholarship audition will also serve as your audition for the music major, and for initial acceptance into the K-State Orchestra.
Scholarship Awards Days:
February 13, 2010
March 6, 2010
Other times may be arranged if needed. Although a personal audition is best, a videocassette may be sent if the distance is too great to visit Kansas State University.
· Two three-octave major scales and one three-octave melodic minor scale
