- 3.8 - 4.0 GPA ... $2000/semester ... Up to 5 semesters = $10,000 total
The possibility of recieving up to $10,000 in scholarships from our local alumni alone is an opportunity seldom seen, anywhere.

Kappa Sigma National Scholarships
The national Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund is the largest fraternity scholarship fund in the United States, awarding scholarships to thousands of brothers
every year. For more information, visit
KappaSigma.org.
Pledge Fees
The pledging fee is $45; half goes to Kappa Sigma Headquarters and half goes to the Gamma-Chi chapter. The initiation fee is $150. These pledging and initiation
fees are the lowest among all fraternities in the United States.
Living In-House
Living in-house costs approximately $2600 per semester. This is all-inclusive; it includes rent, food, utilities, and dues.
Gamma-Chi Alumni
Our alumni reside all over the country; many in Kansas and the Kansas City area. Notable businessmen, lawyers, judges, engineers, doctors,
and educators comprise the Kappa Sigma alumni, and the assistance in finding employment, securing internships, and making connections after college is invaluable.
Annual Social Functions
- Red Dog Party: The Red Dog Party is a continuing tradition at the Gamma-Chi Chapter dating back to the 1920s. Originally a party for pledges and actives, it became a date party several years ago. Traditionally held in October, we spend the morning at an establishment in Aggieville and eat breakfast, then go to a local barn that is very popular for parties with our dates.
- Bahama Mama: Our main party in the spring semester is Bahama Mama, a week long event with different events each night. We have hot tubs at the house all week, a date party, a guest list party, and a number of other events as a chapter.
- Brother Buffett Bash: Generally thrown in the fall, the Brother Buffet Bash is named in honor of Kappa Sigma brother Jimmy Buffett. We've done many things with the party, but generally host several bands at the house and invite guests to enjoy the live music.
- Kick-Off Party: Held in August at the beginning of the school year, the Kick-Off Party sets the standard for all other parties on campus. It's a very popular event, with many people vying to be on the guest list. Several bands and other entertainers make for a long night of fun and one of our best parties every year.
- Tailgating: As a Wildcat, you'll quickly find that Saturdays in the fall mean football. Every year, we loyally tailgate starting early in the morning and going well into the evening. The stadium is always a lively place with thousands of fans showing their support for the Kansas State Wildcats.
- Sorority Functions: Each semester, fraternities and sororities get together for numerous events. Date parties, costume parties, bowling, and date dashes are just a few of the activities we participate in. The awesome sorority girls at K-State always provide a great time.
