KS-GAP Amphibians

This list was compiled from “Amphibian and Reptiles in Kansas” (Collins 1993) and has been reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Committee.  Two species believed to be extirpated from Kansas, Dwarf American Toad (Bufo americanus charlesmithi) and Pickerel Frog (Rana palustris), were not modeled.   Click on a species common name to view the model.  You will need Acrobat Reader to view the models.  The model consist of a list of habitat associations with references, a county distribution map and the predicted statewide distribution (appropriate habitats within the species' EMAP hexagon range).
