Intelligent Juggling: A Kansas Conglomerate of Juggling Clubs |

We're just getting off the ground, and I was working on coming up with a name. Variants of the Wizard of Oz have been done to death, of course, so I considered other things Kansas is known for. The recent study that deemed Kansas flatter than a pancake came to mind, and while surfing the web I came across this comment: "Is science still allowed to prove things in Kansas? I think they measure flatness there by 'intelligent topography.'" It made me chuckle. As an organization, we're certainly not choosing sides in this issue, but whichever side you're on, you've gotta' at least crack a smile at that clever and witty response. At any rate, most jugglers I know would give it more than a chortle, so I thought a spin-off would be safe as an organization name.
We are here to help you (as a student of a Kansas school) start a juggling club on your campus. Perhaps you were perusing through your campus paper and saw the ad:
JUGGLERS of all skill levels (even those wanting to learn), we're starting a group to meet on campus. intelligentjugglersks@gmail.com http://www.ksu.edu/juggle/IntelligentJugglingKS/
...perhaps you'd like to go ahead and place it in your campus paper (keeping in mind we only work within Kansas). Either way, if you don't currently know of a place to juggle on campus, let us know. If we know of one, then you've got your contact info. If not, then maybe we can help you find others of similar interests who'd like to get together. Better yet, perhaps we'll all be able to meet up and defy gravity a bit!
We are jugglers and those who enjoy juggling and associated arts. We find it good for the mind, soul, and -- well -- lifestyle. Moreover, juggling is fun to do in groups, so we're folks who've put together or otherwise become part of some local juggling crew, and would like to see it prosper. This umbrella organization was created for just that purpose. The more jugglers we have around these parts, the more chance that each individual club will continue to exist and/or thrive. We can band together for support, festivals, and competitions. That's the idea, anyway.
We're targeting other nearby campuses to help them start up their own juggling clubs. Key on the agenda is Washburn, which is directly between Manhattan and Lawrence, and thus a great spot for get-togethers. Also nearby is Emporia State University, and a little farther down the road is Wichita State University. We're also obtaining information on Ft. Hays State University and Pittsburg State University, and need to look into breaking into the KC area as well. IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE A PART OF OUR GROWTH, CONTACT US.
