Purpose

The John D. O'Bryant National Think Tank for Black Professionals in Higher Education on Predominantly White Campuses is a non-profit corporation that consists of a broad-based coalition of individuals whose primary purpose is the reclamation, critique and perpetuation of the culture of people of African descent, who work on predominately white colleges and universities:


The JDOTT objectives are as follows:

  • Disseminate information and exchange of ideas
  • Implement a national forum to discuss issues in higher education
  • Develop a professional resource network
  • Provide a mechanism for employment opportunities
  • Initiate a vehicle for career and leadership development
  • Implement a speakers bureau
  • Plan a yearly national summit
  • Create a newsletter
