PurposeThe John D. O'Bryant National Think Tank for Black Professionals in Higher Education on Predominantly White Campuses is a non-profit corporation that consists of a broad-based coalition of individuals whose primary purpose is the reclamation, critique and perpetuation of the culture of people of African descent, who work on predominately white colleges and universities:
The JDOTT objectives are as follows:
- Disseminate information and exchange of ideas
- Implement a national forum to discuss issues in higher education
- Develop a professional resource network
- Provide a mechanism for employment opportunities
- Initiate a vehicle for career and leadership development
- Implement a speakers bureau
- Plan a yearly national summit
- Create a newsletter
