Configuring the Palm Centro in Versamail 4.01

To begin, you can either start the account setup wizard or edit your Versamail account.

  1. In the Account Setup area, type the Account Name in the appropriate field. 

    Note: This can be any name that is descriptive of the account use.

  2. In the E-mail Address box, type your e-mail address. 
  3. In the Password box, type your eID password.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Set the Mail Type as IMAP
  6. Type the Username

    Note: Typically you should use your e-mail address.

  7. For the Incoming Mail Server, type mail.cc.k-state.edu.
  8. For the Outgoing Mail Server: type auth.smtp.k-state.edu.
  9. Click the Advanced button.
  10. For Incoming Server Settings, type port number 993.
  11. Click Use Secure Connection (SSL) checkbox.
  12. Click Next.
  13. For Outgoing Server Settings, type port number 465.
  14. Click the Use Secure Connection (SSL) options.
  15. Click the Use Authentication (ESMTP).
  16. Type your Username for authentication.

    Note: This should be your e-mail address.

  17. In the Password box, type your eID password.
  18. Click Done.
  19. Select the account from the Account Setup area and then click OK.
