Configuring the HTC Touch

  1. Click the Start Menu and choose Messaging.
  2. Click New E-mail Account.

  3. In the E-mail address box, enter your e-mail address.
  4. Uncheck the Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet check box.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Your e-mail provider list, select Internet e-mail and then click Next.

  7. In the Your Name box, type your first and last name as you would like it to appear in your e-mail and then click Next.
  8. In the Incoming mail server box, type imap.k-state.edu
  9. In the Account type list, select IMAP4 and then click Next.
  10. In the User name box, type your eID.
  11. In the Password box, type your eID passoword and then click Next.
  12. In the Incoming (SMTP) mail server box, type auth.smtp.k-state.edu
  13. If needed, select the Outgoing server requires authentication and Use the same user name and password for sending e-mail check boxes.
  14. Click the Advanced Server Settings link.
  15. Click the Require SSL for Incoming e-mail check box.
  16. Click the Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail check box.
  17. In the Network connection list, select The Internet and then click Done.
  18. Click Next.
  19. In the Automatic Send/Receive list, select the desired option and then click Finish.

    Note: Using a period less than 15 minutes is not recommended.
