E-mail forwarding is available for Inboxes on K-State's central e-mail system. All K-Staters have the option to set their mailbox to route messages to other e-mail service providers. This service is useful for those leaving K-State, including graduating students and faculty on sabbatical.
The university strongly recommends that current students and employees not forward their e-mail to other addresses.E-mail is considered a formal university communication with students and employees, who are expected to check their e-mail on a frequent and consistent basis in order to stay current with university and/or faculty-student related communications -- including deadlines, security notices, availability of campus services, etc.
The official e-mail for any K-Stater is their eID@ksu.edu or eID@k-state.edu address. If faculty, staff, or students choose to forward their e-mail to another address (AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, departmental server, etc.), their primary campus e-mail address remains the official destination for official university correspondence. See these university policies:

Be aware that K-State cannot guarantee mail forwarded to another address will actually be delivered. E-mail routed to other sites can be lost or returned ("bounced") for many reasons, including:
