Manage a distribution list

Through eProfile, the owner can:

  • Add or remove members
  • Forward to a single email address
  • Change the primary contact/owner

A distribution list can only be deleted by the IT Help Desk.

Add or remove members

  1. Sign into eProfile and click the Shared accounts and lists link.
  2. Click the Edit link next to your distribution list.
  3. Click the Manage Members tab.
    • To add, enter the member's email address (not just their eID) and click the Add button.The new member will receive an email stating they have been added as a member of the distribution list.
    • To remove, select the checkbox next to member's email address and click the Remove button. The former member will receive an email stating they have been removed from the distribution list.

Forward to a single email address (email alias)

  1. Sign into eProfile and click the Shared accounts and lists link.
  2. Click the Edit link next to your shared account.
  3. Click the Modify Email Forwards tab.
    • Enter the email address that you want mail sent to the distribution list to forward to and click the Add button.
    • To remove, select the checkbox next to email address and click the Remove button.

Change the primary contact/owner

  1. Sign into eProfile and click the Shared accounts and lists link.
  2. Click the Edit link next to your distribution list.
  3. Click the Distribution List Data tab.
  4. Change the eID in the Contact eID box and then click the Change button. Review the updated contact name and phone.
  5. Click the Save button to change the primary owner/contact.
