Letters to K-Staters who are leaving the university

The following KEEPME letters are emailed to all students, faculty, and staff permanently leaving Kansas State University, including those who are graduating, transferring to another school, or otherwise terminating their affiliation with the university.

Retired K-State employees retain access to K-State IT resources, including email provided by the university.

Email Letter:
To announce loss of K-STATE EMAIL ACCOUNT ONLY


Subject: Loss of K-State email resources

Your K-State eID (__________) will lose access as of (disable date) to your K-State email account. That resource is intended solely for use by K-State faculty, staff, students, and sponsored users. This action is being taken because K-State records indicate you are not a currently enrolled student or a current employee. You will retain access to your eProfile, K-State Online, any student records in iSIS, and any personnel records in HRIS as long as you keep your eID active.

Unix Letter:
To announce loss of Unix and other IT services EXCEPT K-STATE EMAIL ACCOUNT


Subject: Loss of K-State Information Technology Resources

Your K-State eID (__________) will lose access as of (disable date) to K-State IT resources, including K-State personal webpages, computer labs, and online Library journals and databases. Those resources are intended solely for use by current K-State faculty, staff, students, and sponsored users. This action is being taken because K-State records indicate you are not a currently enrolled student or a current employee. You will retain access to your eProfile, K-State Online, any student records in iSIS, and any personnel records in HRIS as long as you keep your eID active.

Students will retain access to the K-State email account for approximately one year. You will continue to receive official K-State communications via your K-State email account.
