How to Remove Antivirus

Uninstalling from Windows XP or 7

1. Click Start and then click Control Panel (you may have to point to Settings before clicking Control Panel).
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
Windows XP:
1. Scroll down to the antivirus program installed on your computer and then click it to highlight it.
2. Click the Remove button and then follow the uninstall instructions on the screen
   (instructions will vary depending on the antivirus program installed).



Windows 7:
1. Scroll down to the antivirus program installed on your computer and right click on it.
2. In the resulting drop down menu, select Uninstall or Change.
   (instructions will vary depending on the antivirus program installed).



3. Restart computer
• If going through the computer registration process, please re-run the CSA agent after reboot to continue registration.

Uninstalling from Windows Vista

1. Click Start and then Control Panel
   
2. Click Programs & Features.
   
3. Select Programs
   
4. Scroll down to the antivirus program installed on your computer and then click it to highlight it.
5. Click the Uninstall/Change button and then follow the uninstall instructions on the screen
   (instructions will vary depending on the antivirus program installed).
   
6. Restart computer
• If going through the computer registration process, please re-run the CSA agent after reboot to continue registration.

Uninstalling Symantec Antivirus

1. Download removeSAV.exe.
2. Navigate to the location where you saved the download.
3. Double-click removeSAV.exe and then click OK.
4. Click Overwrite and then click Start.
   
   

NOTE: If you use Symantec PC Anywhere, Norton Ghost, or any other Symantec product other than antivirus, you will have to re-install Live Update.
