Coffee Hour

Coffee Hour is a program designed to give international students a chance to present their country and culture to others in an open and relaxed setting. Coffee Hour provides students the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings on a variety of topics and issues concerning their country’s culture, history, and politics and also promotes awareness and discussion among those attending the presentation. The typical format is usually a slide show presentation and discussion followed by a question and answer session.

Food and refreshments typical of the student’s home country are prepared by the student presenter and is served following the presentation. Past programs have included presentations on Costa Rica, Norway, India, and Malaysia.  All Coffee Hour programs are held at the International Student Center and take place every other Friday during the fall and spring semester in the International Student Center from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
