Basic Language Training (BLT)
The Basic Language Training Program is a series of non-credit language courses that are offered during both the fall and spring semesters and each class is taught by a native speaker. The student instructors teach the basics of their language and also explore the culture and history of their home country with their students. The classes occur over the course of six weeks and meet twice per week for an hour each session for a total of 12 classes.
The languages offered each semester vary and there is an enrollment fee of $25 per person for each 6 week course. The Spring 2015 Basic Language Training program will begin the week of February 2nd and run through the week of March 13th. Registration and fee payment due by 4 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015.
The Classes being offered for spring 2015 will be: Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The $25 registration fee per class per person must be made by 4 p.m. on January 30, 2015. To pay, please go to the International Student Center. Only cash or checks can be accepted. Checks should be made payable to: International Student and Scholar Services.

Each class must have at least 5 students registered for the class to happen. If a class is canceled due to low participation, you will receive a refund.
Refund Policy: Full refund of registration fee will be given when a request for a refund has been received within 24 hours after the first class meeting. These requests should be made during office hours (8am-5pm) at the International Student & Scholar Services office.
