Karl was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and still considers Nebraska home. In addition
to Nebraska, he has lived in Kenya, East Africa and Fayetteville, Arkansas and moved
to Manhattan in 2008 after finishing graduate school. Karl enjoys traveling around
the world and has visited more than 15 countries, including Egypt, Israel, Tanzania,
and Japan. Karl also enjoys reading, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, and running.
