OFA - Oracle Financial Application
OFA, Oracle Financial Application, is K-State's first installation of Oracle E-Business Suite. It was implemented (in 1999) to process and track the Facilities departmental transactions, from selling nuts and bolts out of their on-campus storeroom, to tracking labor costs on work orders, to generating purchase orders and handling inventory.
Because of the inter-relation with work order information, OFA interfaces heavily with K-State's work order system. Hence, the two systems are tied closely together. Transactions from OFA are summarized daily and sent to FIS to be accounted for in the central financial system.
