Viewing an Instructor's Class Roster

 

Purpose

Use this procedure to view any Class Roster, searching by the Course or Class information.

Trigger

Perform this procedure when you need to view a roster for a Class.

None

·         If you are looking for a particular instructor's roster, you will need to know the course and section he/she is teaching.  Refer to Viewing an Instructor's Schedule documentation for details on finding the specific class section


Procedure

1.       Curriculum Management  Class Roster  Class Roster

2.       As required, complete/review the following fields:

Term

R

Semester in which classes are offered.  Terms are identified by a four-digit number where the first digit represents the century, the second and third digits represent the year, and the final digit represents the semester (2 for Spring, 3 for Summer, 5 for Fall).  I.e.  Fall 2008 = 2085, Spring 2009 = 2092.

Example:         2082

Subject Area

O

The department code for the department offering the course.

Example:         GEOG

Catalog Nbr

O

The numeric portion of the K-State assigned course catalog number.

Example:         100

Class Nbr

O

A four or five digit number used as the unique identifier for class sections each term.  Class numbers are assigned to every class section offered during a term and are found in the Schedule of Classes for enrollment purposes.

Class Section

O

An individual occurrence of a course during a given academic term.

Example:         A

Class Roster

 

    Clicking the  button takes you into a Class Search.  It can be difficult to return to the Class Roster screen from within the Class Search.

4.       You have completed this task.

Result

You have successfully found a Class Roster for a given Class Section.
